Home should be where life happens, not what gets in the way of it.

Home has always meant something more to me than a building.

Growing up, it was the center of everything. I can still picture my dad pulling my brother and me around the hardwood floor on a blanket, all of us laughing until we couldn't breathe. It's where we welcomed my baby sister home from the hospital. Where we mourned the loss of our grandparents. Where my parents — immigrants who had sacrificed everything for a better life — watched one son get into Stanford and the other leave school for a startup. Our home wasn't a backdrop to those moments. It was those moments.

So when I became a homeowner myself, I expected to feel some version of that. Instead, what had always felt like one of life's most meaningful milestones started to feel like a second job. Something breaks — and suddenly you're researching, texting friends, calling vendors, collecting quotes, rearranging your week, and hoping whoever shows up actually does it right. Repeat, forever.

How could a place so full of meaning become such a source of stress? How could the most expensive purchase any of us make become the most burdensome, too?

What made it worse was realizing there was nothing out there actually built for homeowners. The products that exist — the Yelp’s and Thumbtack’s of the world — are fundamentally misaligned with the people who own homes. They make their money from vendors, not from you. They have every incentive to send you whoever pays them the most, and no incentive to care about what happens after. None of them understand your home. None of them are in your corner.

Casa is our answer. We give every homeowner what used to be reserved for the few: a dedicated team that knows your home deeply, handles the work, and stays aligned with your interests. To do this, we’re building something that has never existed before: a deep, technical understanding of each of the 100 million single-family homes in this country, so we can care for them the way they deserve.

We're launching today, and I couldn't be more proud of what the team has built.

But if I'm honest, this isn't really about the product. It's about those magic moments happening in living rooms and kitchens and backyards all over the country right now. Casa exists so that the time and energy you'd otherwise spend managing your home goes back to you — for the family vacation you keep postponing, the dinner you keep meaning to cook, the Sunday morning you actually get to enjoy with your kids.

Home should be where life happens, not what gets in the way of it.

Welcome home.
